  • Kinds of Rooftop Bars and Restaurants

I came here (The Rooftop by JG) on Sunday brunch and was very impressed!!!! The view, food, and service were top-notch! I had the CRISPY FRENCH FRIES & CAVIAR, and

LOBSTER BURGER. Both were very tasty and filling. For drinks, we had the WATERMELON MOJITO and STRAWBERRY MEZCAL PUNCH which put us on our backs…lol!!! The view was to die for…definitely recommended for having a good time with food, drinks, and friends!  This one-of-a-kind restaurant’s menu features memorable lunches and dinners served on exquisite dishes using fresh ingredients prepared from local farms. My go-to spot.

2. Above Sixty

Rooftop places are always relaxing and nice, and this is one of the few rooftop places near Marriott Beverly to grab a quick drink with a larger group setting. There are plenty of outside couch spaces with a fire pit and a city landscape view. I came here during E3 with a few colleagues and friends. The drinks are averagely priced but would say order wine instead of cocktails. I got a gin+ tonic, and they got a pitcher of strawberry mojito – they are both really bland to taste any alcohol at all.

3. Bar Lis

Came here for the first time on a Tuesday for Jazz night and fell in love instantly! The bar wasn’t jam-packed so you didn’t have to stare a bartender down for a drink. The live music was perfection – really they have the best musicians on stage.

For those who have seen it, they described it as “the crown jewel” because it captures all that is iconic about France while also being sophisticated with its own style.

4. Soulmate

This is a Spanish Mediterranean restaurant, obviously, because they offer cuisines that originated from Spain and the Mediterranean combined with Southern California’s seasonality! The chef, Rudy Lopez cooked the food over a live fire.

Not to mention, Soulmate is an award-winning restaurant with a diverse menu and drink list, featuring local flavors from herbs and fruits. The extensive wine list boasts a robust selection of sparkling options from vintage to grower champagne as well as varietals from emerging winemakers. You can order your drinks by glass or bottle at Soulmate!

5. Il Ciello

For the record, Beverly Hills has a long history of fine dining, and the restaurant Il Cielo is one of its finest. As you can see for yourself, this country-style Italian restaurant offers just about anything imaginable with its various private rooms suitable for any occasion. Such as lunch or dinner service; they even have an outdoor garden setting perfect for almost any day or night out!

6. Fairmont Century Plaza

If you are hungry, Lumiere is the perfect place to grab a bite. If you want to sit in the sun, there are outdoor seats available at most of our restaurants. For cocktails and music or privacy while dining, head over to The Bar at Century Plaza. And if you need some pampering before heading back out again later on that evening-our guests can order In-Room Dining from their room with options like Eggs Benedict Florentine Station and Chocolate Mousse Cake Tower all day long!

7. The Roof at Edition

The Roof is a beautiful and intimate place to spend the day, with an array of drinks that will leave your taste buds tingling. Come by at night for some Latin and tropical-inspired cocktails or sipping on Kombucha cocktails. There’s also a selection of fresh juices, rosé wine selections, low alcohol spirits like vodka, Gin & V8 Tonic Cocktail Night (Mondays) as well as spirit tasting menus offered every Friday evening from 5 pm – 8 pm! The Roof overlooks the cityscape below in Los Angeles.

8. The Front Yard

Indeed a unique neighborhood gathering place. It showcases LA’s diversity of flavors. The setting is as casual and comfortable as an evening spent with friends in old-fashioned living conditions.

9. Harriet’s Rooftop

Revelry with a remarkable view. The H.wood Group presents Harriet’s Rooftop. It is an elevated cocktail lounge that boasts unparalleled panoramic views of Los Angeles as you will see when you visit this place.

The famous John Sofio of Built, Inc designed the indoor/outdoor rooftop space. It features deep burgundy awnings, tasseled umbrellas, dark green and white striped furniture, string lights, and greenery framing sweeping views.

Bar Director Justin Campbell crafts floral, sessionable, herbaceous cocktails drawing inspiration from the garden-like setting, along with a selection of wine and beer. Name it, they have it!

10. The Penthouse

Diners and critics have lauded Mastro’s Restaurants for its sophisticated steakhouse chains. It has also been listed as a top 10 steakhouse in the U.S., among other accolades, earning it the reputation of being one of Los Angeles’ finest dining destinations for over 60 years.

The Penthouse at Mastro’s is a private, exclusive dining experience with the best views of Los Angeles. Guests are treated to a special menu and service that is unparalleled in the city. Guests can enjoy their favorite cocktails and spirits before dinner in a discreet dining room that offers both a private entrance and an exclusive bar.

5 Reasons to Choose Rooftop Restaurants

Whether you’re an individual in need of a new place to stay or just want someplace luxurious, there are plenty of rooftop hotel options available. You will be surprised by its beauty and design, whether it’s the deck builder or another designer. You can choose a hotel that has an added experience of enjoying the city from a birds-eye perspective. Rooftop bars are often in high demand as they offer unparalleled views, complete privacy, and many other amenities.

All rounded view of the city

If you are visiting a new place, it’s not quick to obtain the opportunity to have yourself a 360-degree view of the city. But if you do want this amazing experience, go for it! You can see things in your city from on top of buildings or rooftops. It is best viewed after dark or during bright sunny days when chilling out with friends and family – there will be plenty of time for exploring too.

Luxurious feel

Many people seem to enjoy the feeling of being at the top. Those who understand and have the know-how on how things are done often strive hard to be at the top, as well as always getting pushed there by those below them receiving their “joint” in return. You’re feeling good when experiencing such luxury right from atop an elegant rooftop bar like this.

Easy to link up with new people

Do you like to hang out? Are you a social guy who always looks out for ways to meet and link up with new people? Therefore, it calls for the need to hang out in areas where there is potential to meet new people. One such area which is a sure bet is a rooftop bar. When you get to visit new towns, don’t stay locked up indoors. Get out and create new friends with interesting people in the social circle.

Dine at night

If you’re a foodie and like to try out different cuisines, then you’ll certainly enjoy the experience of dining at night at a rooftop bar. You do get not to dine at night every day because most restaurants are only open during the day. The moment that sunset hits and it’s getting dark, most restaurants will be closed. However, this is not the case with rooftop bars.

A great place for romantic moments

With someone special in your life, being in a rooftop bar can be a great place for romantic moments. Not every day do people get to spend quality time outdoors under the stars on a nice summer evening. People seize upon it immediately if there is an opportunity to do so.

Meet new people with interesting lives

When you go out, your main objective should be to meet new people with interesting lives. People who have fascinating stories and want to share them with others never get the chance because they don’t meet people who are interested in hearing what they have to say. One of the best places for meeting new people is at a rooftop bar where strangers from different walks of life gather together for one common purpose which is having fun and socializing.

Enjoy the view of the city lights or stars in the sky

You can enjoy the view of what’s around you without having to look up when you’re out on a rooftop. You’ll be able to see all of the city lights and how they shine through the night sky. You’ll be able to see all of the stars in their full glory as well if it’s clear outside. It is something that you can’t get from inside a building is the beauty of being in the presence of nature.

Get away from the crowds and noise

Yes, it is the perfect place to go when you want to recharge from sickness and tiredness of being around people.  It will give you the opportunity to get away from all of the noise and crowds that are going on downstairs. You won’t have to worry about being bothered by anyone when you’re up there because it’s so peaceful. Your own thought is the only thing that’s going to bother you as you take in everything around you.

Kinds of Rooftop Bars and Restaurants

I’ve done my research about this! The latest trends in a modern rooftop décor include creating inspirational spaces and providing welcoming environments, which the restaurants I mentioned earlier have.  Many architects, designers, and restaurateurs/hoteliers alike want to respect the inherent historical elements found in traditional bars or restaurants. They like to incorporate a contemporary flair into their design ideas and projects. They say light fixtures are stylish, the bar stools are unique, and the unique tables in the restaurant display modern artwork at every table. Open terraces and rooftop gardens add freshness as well as an old-world tradition so balance is perfect both inside and outside of the sky bars.

Interior designs for rooftops are more playful and futuristic today. There is a mixture of geometric shapes, bold contrast in colors, and spectacular textures that put focus on glass, light, and drinks. Guests are warmly welcomed into an indoor or outdoor space with dim lights which puts the spotlight on bar stands that offer a variety of stimulating visuals like colorful liquids flowing through thin straws from one place to another. Couples spend a romantic evening at some rooftop bars with perfect space. Such locations might have luxurious, contemporary patio furniture and dark alcove areas to create an intimate atmosphere with dramatic light designs. High-ceiling lights and unique wooden panels are also featured to give these locations a more social appeal than other rooftops in New York City.
