Buying Or Selling a Beverly Hills Home

6 Best Tips When Buying Or Selling a Beverly Hills Home

Buying Or Selling a Beverly Hills Home is never easy, especially if you have been in your current home for a long time. However, moving to Beverly Hills can be one of the most exciting decisions ever. With the lovely Beverly Hills luxury real estate and many other amazing things about the city, it might be the best, if not most exciting, move you make for yourself or your family. Several tips can make moving less challenging in Beverly Hills:

i) Know Your Price Range

Table of Contents

  • i) Know Your Price Range
  • ii) Have an inspection done on your items
  • iii) Consider Insurance Buying Or Selling a Beverly Hills Home
  • iv) Minimize the stuff you move
  • v) Get the right packing materials
  • vi) Conclusion Of Buying Or Selling a Beverly Hills Home

A home is one of the most luxurious and vital investments you will ever make in your life. When you decide to move, talk to a few different moving companies to find out the range in price and services to get you from A to B.  Ask a realtor to help you find a vendor you can afford AND that will work the way you need.  Provide boxes, pack personal items, label, insurance, move cars, cross country move?  Your agent can help you find the one that is reliable but still fits within your budget.

ii) Have an inspection done on your items

Whether you are buying or selling, you need to be sure that you get your personal property inspected before the movers come. This will ensure that you get the right price based on your inventory, and also allow you to track what you have so as to protect against loss or damage.

iii) Consider Insurance Buying Or Selling a Beverly Hills Home

Even though most people refer to it as moving insurance when they purchase it, its technical name is “moving coverage,” and this coverage protects your goods in transit while en route to your new home, whether on the truck or while in temporary storage.  This coverage can be vital, take it from me.  I moved from MN to LA and bought the standard moving insurance, which covers $0.60 per pound.  One of the items I moved with was a $2000 road bike, that unfortunately got bent slightly in the move.  Since the bike was made of carbon fiber, it weighed practically nothing.  The insurance claim netted me $22.  Ouch.

iv) Minimize the stuff you move

Before moving, check each room and identify things you have not used in a while and may not need anymore. Decide what to sell donate and discard to ensure you are not moving with clutter that will take up space in your new home. If you are moving from or to the Flats of Beverly Hills, ensure that you label your boxes according to rooms.

v) Get the right packing materials

Most people lose or get their items destroyed when packing or moving. It is vital that you pack each item carefully, especially fragile items. When buying packing materials, ensure you have bubble wrap, zip lock bags, packing tape, and any other that you might need to keep your items safe and secure.

vi) Conclusion Of Buying Or Selling a Beverly Hills Home

Preparing a Beverly Hills move is ½ the battle, and following the steps above will help ensure a safe move.  I’m biased, but the other ½ is making sure you hire a good real estate agent who knows the market well, including how to assist you with movers.
