No one can deny that real estate prices in some areas of Los Angeles touch the sky. For example, in Paradise Cove Bluffs, the median home price is a staggering $82.6 million. Still, many people dream to live in the city of angels. There are quite a few reasons why this city is so popular.

Firstly, it is the heart and soul of the U.S. entertainment industry as it is home to Hollywood, where most of your favorite movies have been shot. If you live in Los Angeles, you’ll be living extremely close to the center of attraction and many celebrities who live there. Secondly, this city is full of opportunities. If you want to become rich and famous, LA is probably where you should live. Thirdly, the weather in Los Angeles and other cities in California is known to be mild. These cities rarely experience any winter storms like the ones the east coast faces multiple times a year. Here, the sun is out for most of the 365 days. Lastly, Los Angeles is famous for its splendid scenery. The unique combination of the ocean, mountains, forest, and desert makes the scenery special.

If you dream of living in a luxurious estate in one of the posh areas of Los Angeles, you need to have loads of money in your pocket. You’ll also need to decide which area to live in based on real estate prices and the benefits that the individual areas offer. Some neighborhoods offer a hilly landscape and winding roads, while others offer magnificent views of the Pacific ocean. You’ll need to decide in which area you’ll be the most comfortable. In this blog, we will uncover what’s so great about these expensive areas and what makes them worth spending your life in.

Expensive Neighborhoods in Los Angeles County

Paradise Cove Bluffs-

The median price of real estate here is $82.6 million. Let’s see what makes this area special:

Luxury – The Paradise Cove Bluffs allows both adults and children to live a laid-back and peaceful life. The luxurious lifestyle it offers has attracted numerous renowned celebrities, including Minnie Driver, Pamela Anderson, Matthew McConaughey, and Betsey Johnson. If we think about this luxury, the price of real estate here doesn’t seem much at all.

Dining – If you like simple and convenient dining out, this area has a café called Paradise Cove Beach Café. Residents and tourists alike can enjoy the Southern California experience at this restaurant. While having your cocktail, you can gaze far into the deep blue ocean and also relax on a beach chair on the white sand.

Activities and Shopping – Besides spending time on the beach, the activities in Paradise Cove for residents include access to a huge clubhouse, tennis court, basketball court, and playground for children. The small beach town of Malibu is also right next to the cove, so residents have access to good shopping areas and luxury brands.

Location – Paradise Cove is a public beach in the Malibu area. The bluffs are located in a private area overlooking the gorgeous beach. It takes less than an hour to reach the cove from downtown LA. As it is outside the main city, it offers much-needed privacy to its residents.

Geography – The Paradise Cove Bluffs is located on a relatively higher land as compared to the beach. The average temperatures in the area range from 46 degrees to 67 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter and from 57 degrees to 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the summertime.

Serra Retreat-

The median price of real estate here is $23.3 million. Let’s see what makes this area special:

Luxury – This neighborhood is just what the name suggests. A retreat or a sanctuary for those who love a quiet life. If your idea of luxury is peace and quietness, then think of buying a home in Serra Retreat. Moreover, the whole neighborhood is a symbol of opulence through its early Californian architecture.

Spirituality – An essential component of retreat, as seen by many, is spirituality and building a connection with God. The main feature of this neighborhood is the Serra Retreat Facility, around which the estates are built. This facility offers a shared connection to the residents of the area through frequent conferences and meetings.

Dining and Shopping – Several places for dining and shopping are located within walking distance from the retreat. Due to the close proximity to the town of Malibu, residents of Serra retreat have easy access to Malibu Lumberyard, Malibu Village, and Malibu Country Mart. You will always find a casual and inviting vibe in all of these places.

Location – The retreat is located between the mountains and the ocean close to the famous town of Malibu. The whole neighborhood is heavily guarded because the residents like their privacy and want others to respect it as well. You can access it via two roads off the Pacific Coastal Highway.

Geography – Most of the homes in Serra Retreat are isolated properties well inside the Serra Canyon. The land is hilly and has a moderate level of greenery, mostly including small trees and bushes.

Bel Air

The median price of real estate here is $18.5 million. Let’s see what makes this area special:

Luxury – The estates in Bel Air are known for their massive lot sizes. Because of so much space available, the residents of Bel Air can enjoy a luxurious lifestyle with access to extensive lawns, pools in their backyards, stepped gardens, and tennis courts. Moreover, the security of the residents is ensured by 24/7 patrolling.

Dining – Bel Air has dining options for everyone. If you prefer quick bites from bakeries or extensive three-course meals in lavish restaurants, it’s there. Some famous restaurants in Bel Air include Barrett’s On The Pike, Sakura Steakhouse, La Tolteca, Savona Italian Deli, Liberatore’s, and Tea by Two.

Shopping – With the famous Robertson Boulevard located only under 15 minutes away, that’s all that luxury shoppers can ask for. Here is where you’ll find all the fashion boutiques and trendsetting outlets. Other shopping places in Bel Air itself are Westfield Fashion Square, Urban Outfitters, and Sherman Oaks Galleria.

Location – Although it’s a small part of Los Angeles County, Bel Air is part of the platinum triangle with Holmby Hills and Beverly Hills sitting right beside it. If you go up to Sunset Boulevard, you’ll see two grand and impressive gates that lead into the Bel Air enclave.

Geography – Bel Air is an enclave that lies in the foothills of the lovely Santa Monica mountains. So, the land is not flat. Instead, it has winding roads that lead to huge driveways and mansions. The geography allows people to construct terraced gardens in their own backyards.

Malibu Village is a shopping center and consists of a collection of boutiques and expensive retail outlets. It offers all the basic services and also a unique upscale retail experience.

Location – Malibu is a beach city on the west side of Los Angeles county. It is easily accessible by the Pacific Coastal Highway, and it is only a 50-minute drive away from downtown Los Angeles. The whole town is centered around the highway. So, the chances are that the famous Pacific Coastal Highway will be a few minutes walks from your place if you buy real estate in Malibu.

Geography – It is known for its gorgeous 21 miles long Malibu Pacific Coastline. The town has amazing topography because it’s where the mountains and deep canyons meet the ocean.
