Now a lot of people will touch base with me and share this idea of Erik I think I can probably sell my home myself or if I use an agent what are they going to do any differently than the things they already know? Well, it’s interesting real estate as a profession has been around now for over 100 years, which is amazing in and of itself, but the technological advancements that have gone into marketing property might astound you now, of course, there are the traditional things of open houses but those are challenging during the pandemic depending on the market that you’re in and of course, there is still Signage But what are the other ways that we are able to connect with buyers to be able to bring as many as we can now, you know, our goal as agents or in a home sale is to bring as many buyers to see the property and as many as them writing offers as we can.
So we can get those buyers that are competing to drive the price up. And in today’s market, there are several unique things that we would recommend to do when you’re thinking of marketing number one is web-based. So as much as you can get search engine optimization or outreach to buyers that are looking in a given neighborhood and that could be directly on websites. It could be through searches like google some of the algorithm sites or what is called syndication where we have through our brokerage spread across all of the other brokerages The more places that you can be, the more eyeballs will see the property now the web is one, but think about where most people now are spending their time and that’s right here on their phone and oftentimes it’s in social media. So the best of the best agents are going to be using social media and social media ads to be able to send outreach.
It’s shocking to me but in the past several years I have sold multiple properties on Facebook or on Instagram and there are other tools that are used as well from LinkedIn to youtube to platforms beyond. So not only do we have the web but we also have social media now you can also use the traditional tried and true signage, but more and more agents are also using web links, 24-hour text messaging services or ways to be able to connect and get information immediately. We are in the right now the economy and the right now society. So being able to get that info is super helpful now Yes, of course, you can do all of this on your own but why not hire a pro to be able to assist you? A great agent that sells multiple properties is kind of like going to a great doctor or a great auto mechanic.
Sure you can change your battery or you can change your engine out by yourself. You can probably repair a broken arm on your own as well. But it’s better or much easier to go to a pro. So these are just a few of the ideas of what is most effective in today’s world to be able to market a property.
