Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like—running in your underwear for a cause. And no, I’m not joking. Every February, thousands of undie-clad runners hit the streets in cities across the U.S. to raise money for the Children’s Tumor Foundation and support research for Neurofibromatosis (NF)—a group of genetic conditions that cause tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body.
We strip down because those affected by NF can’t hide their condition, so why should we? Since 2010, over 100,000 runners have helped raise more than $21 million in net proceeds for research.
