The Beverly Hills real estate market is an exclusive one. The homes are often iconic, luxury properties in a prestigious area with high property values. This list of the most iconic homes in and around Beverly Hills will give you insight into the best neighborhoods to consider when looking for your next home. Let’s take a look at these gorgeous estates!

St. Cloud Road – Louis B Mayer Estate

Table of Contents

  • St. Cloud Road – Louis B Mayer Estate

    • Bel-Air Road – Vavra Estate
    • Stradella Road – Strada Vecchia Design
    • Bellagio Road – Casa Encantada

    • Baroda Drive – Gary Cooper Estate

If you’ve ever seen a home in the Los Angeles area that looks like it’s straight out of a movie, then you’re not imagining things. The Louis B Mayer estate is one such home. If you’re looking for a luxury home in the Los Angeles area and want to live like an old Hollywood movie star, look no further than St. Cloud Road. This street is known as the “street of dreams” or “road of stars” because it has been home to so many famous celebrities over the years including Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, Cary Grant, and Lucille Ball just to name a few! In fact, if you were driving down this road today you would see two homes that are currently on sale that used to be owned by iconic film producer Louis B Mayer from MGM studios- one being his main residence where he hosted some of Hollywood’s biggest parties and events!

This estate represented one of the largest mansions ever built on a residential street in Los Angeles County and it even had its own private gatehouse guarding such an extravagant property. It has an estimated net worth of $100 million upon his death in 1957 (equivalent to $812 million today). It was built in 1926 for one of Hollywood’s most iconic moguls and is located just outside Beverly Hills. This property features six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a guest house with its own pool, garden terraces, and fringed by oak trees. It has been described as “a mix between Tara from Gone With the Wind and Jay Gatsby’s mansion.” If you’ve ever wanted to live like an old-fashioned movie star then this might be your chance!

Chalon Road – John & Agnes Fredericks’ Estate

Chalon Road has been a staple of luxury living in Beverly Hills for decades, and the estate of John & Agnes Fredericks is no exception. The couple was one of the first to build on this street, and their home was designed by architect Wallace Neff. In fact, Mr. Neff’s design was so popular that many other homes were later built on Chalon Road modeled after it!

John and Agnes Fredericks’ estate, Chalon Road, is a sight to behold. The Beverly Hills property was designed by architect Wallace Neff in the 1920s and had been winning awards ever since. It’s located on 2-1/2 acres of prime Beverly Hills real estate. The house has an art deco exterior with a ’20s feel inside as well. It boasts six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and four fireplaces along with custom built-ins throughout the home. There are four garages for parking your luxury cars too! If you buy this home, you’ll be living like royalty in one of America’s finest neighborhoods – that is if Oprah doesn’t snatch it up first! The Fredericks are the type of people who laugh at their own jokes, make you feel like they’ve known you forever after 10 minutes of conversation, and have a very distinct style. When John & Agnes Fredericks set out to build their home on Chalon Road in Los Angeles’ Beverly Hills area, they wanted that same vibe infused into every aspect of it. After all, why buy a luxury home if it doesn’t embody your personality?

Well-known for his work with celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor and Frank Sinatra during Hollywood’s Golden Age, John Fredericks had an eye for luxury homes long before he started designing them himself. He brought this experience to bear on the creation of his Beverly Hills estate which was completed in 1955.

Bel-Air Road – Vavra Estate

Los Angeles has many neighborhoods with prestigious names, but the one that always stands out is Bel-Air. It’s a place that conjures images of movie stars and celebrities living in mansions.

This road is one of the wealthiest streets in America. If you live on this street, your neighbors may include Beyonce and Jay Z, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, or Jerry Seinfeld and Jessica Seinfeld. But what about Bel-Air Road’s newest residents? The Vavra family has just purchased a home for $32 million off of Bel-Air Road. The Vavra Estate sits on 1 acre of land with 12 bedrooms (including guest quarters), 14 bathrooms (one of which offers a view of the ocean), and 18 fireplaces.

Bel-Air Road has been home to some of the most glamorous estates in the world. Recently, there have been a string of high-profile sales on Bel-Air Road, and today we’re going to take you inside one such estate. The Vavra Estate was designed by renowned Beverly Hills architect William Haines and built by famous developer Christian Tell for his son David in 1940. It features an incredible living room that is over 25 feet high with walls of glass and wood beams and gilded bronze panels, plus a library with carved marble fireplace mantels made from Carrara marble shipped from Italy during World War II. This is one mansion you won’t want to miss!

Stradella Road – Strada Vecchia Design

Stradella Road is a gorgeous street in the heart of Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. It’s lined with beautiful homes and high-end designer stores. If you’re looking for a luxury home in the area, be sure to check it out!

This beautiful, exclusive road is in the heart of Beverly Hills. With homes on Stradella Road selling for over $20 million dollars, it’s no wonder that this area has been called “the most expensive street in California”. The name Stradella comes from Streda dell’Acqua which translates to Straw Market. This road was first built at the end of the 17th century and became known as one of the main roads between downtown Los Angeles and Santa Monica. Today, you will find some of LA’s swankiest homes here including many celebrity mansions.

Stradella Road is a quiet and quaint street with a small number of houses, but the homes themselves are all quite large. This prestigious road is located in Bel-Air, one of the most luxurious neighborhoods in Los Angeles. The winding roads and lush greenery draw many buyers to this area for its beautiful scenery as well as close proximity to top schools such as Harvard-Westlake School and Buckley High School.

If you’re looking for luxury homes to buy or sell with a contemporary twist, Stradella Road is just what you need. Strada Vecchia Design has been working on homes throughout this area for decades and only works with high-quality materials that will stand the test of time. Our team can provide floor plans that work within any budget and design needs so your dream home becomes a reality! Whether you want to live up here year-round or as a second residence now is the perfect time to invest in real estate on Stradella Road.

Bellagio Road – Casa Encantada

What do you get when you combine a celebrity-studded neighborhood, stunning views of the city skyline and hills, and a gorgeous Mediterranean villa? In this case, it’s Casa Encantada. This palatial estate is located on Bellagio Road in Beverly Hills at 1 N. Bellagio Rd., Los Angeles CA 90210. It offers 7 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms over 5 acres of land with panoramic views that include downtown Los Angeles to the west and Hollywood to the east. Designed by award-winning architect Richard Landry, Casa Encantada was built in 2003 for an entertainment industry entrepreneur who previously lived in Bel Air before moving into this home which she loved so much she never moved out!

The Bellagio Road area is a wonderful place to look for homes in the Los Angeles area. It’s known as an upscale neighborhood with beautiful homes and plenty of amenities nearby, such as shopping and dining. There are also some amazing views of the mountains!

Have you ever heard someone say they’d like to live in a resort? You can do that when you buy a home on Bellagio Road — it’s like living in your own resort community. Plus, there are several golf courses nearby if you’re into playing golf or watching major tournaments (like The Masters!).

Bellagio Road – Wurtzel-Neff Estate

The Wurtzel-Neff Estate, located on Bellagio Road in Beverly Hills, has been listed for $30 million. Situated on two acres of land, the estate is known to be one of the most luxurious homes in all of California. The home features six bedrooms and eight bathrooms that are decorated with exquisite pieces, such as a custom-designed pool table by Stuart Parr that is made out of exotic hardwoods and includes gold leaf accents throughout. Whether you’re looking for an extravagant place to host your next party or need more space to store all your luxury vehicles, this estate would make the perfect addition to any property portfolio!

The legendary Wurtzel-Neff Estate, also known as Bellagio Road, is now on the market for $110 million.  Nestled between Sunset Boulevard and Benedict Canyon Drive in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in L.A., this European-style castle was originally built by Mrs. Hutton (of the famous Woolworth family) as a wedding gift for her daughter. Located in Beverly Hills, California. It is a 9 bedroom, 12 bathroom luxury home that has been on the market for over 3 years at an asking price of $75 million dollars. This property was built in 1921 and was originally designed by architect A. Quincy Jones as his own personal residence. The home’s amenities include hand-carved stone fireplaces throughout, marble floors imported from Italy, a custom-made pool table with ebony trim and gold leafing details, a grand foyer with fresco ceilings done by Italian artist Giuseppe Zappala (who also painted 4 murals within the house), 13-car garage among many other luxurious features.

Bellagio Road – Van Wart Estate

A “deconstructed” home, the Van Wart Estate is a true architectural gem.

The Bellagio Road – Van Wart Estate is the perfect place to live if you are an A-list celebrity or royalty. This is a very special home. When you pull up to this estate, you will be greeted by a three-story fountain and the only thing more impressive than that is the view of downtown Los Angeles and beyond from its hilltop location. The home itself spans over 12,500 square feet with seven bedrooms and ten bathrooms. It also features an art gallery, library/media room, billiards room, gymnasium with steam shower and sauna, and gourmet kitchen with butler’s pantry complete with wine cellar and tasting area. There are even two separate guest homes on the property that can be used as staff quarters or income-producing rental units when hosting guests just won’t do! This one-of-a-kind property has been featured in Architectural Digest, L’Uomo Vogue, BH Magazine, and many others.

The two-story foyer with its cascading staircase and original hand-painted murals is just the beginning of this estate’s luxurious amenities. It was built by renowned architect Bob van Wart who wanted his home to be just as lavish as the houses he helped create for other celebrities.

Bel-Air Road-The Beverly Hillbillies Estate

If you’re looking for a property that combines luxury with history, look no further than Bel-Air Road. One of the most exclusive areas in the world, this street is home to some of the wealthiest people in Beverly Hills. The homes on Bel-Air Road are often decorated lavishly and have been featured in many movies and television shows over the years. In fact, one home was even featured as Jed Clampett’s family mansion in “The Beverly Hillbillies”. This property was featured on the popular show back in the 70s and 80s for its lavish décor and oddball family vibe. The current owner has decided to sell this amazing estate so it can be enjoyed by someone else! The price tag on this property is $150 million with an outdoor pool, tennis court, and guest house. You’ll be living like a king or queen when you make this purchase!

South Mapleton Drive – The Manor

If you’re a fan of architecture and design, then this home is for you. You’ll never want to leave the property as it has been designed by acclaimed architect Paul McClean who specializes in luxury properties.

The Manor is the most expensive home for sale in all of South Mapleton Drive. This Beverly Hills neighborhood is one of the most prestigious, so it’s no surprise that The Manor would be listed at $100 million. The best part about living on South Mapleton Drive? You’re just moments away from Rodeo Drive shopping and dining- including Maxfield’s which offers some pretty incredible celeb sightings! And with easy access to both Santa Monica Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard, you’ll never have trouble getting around the city. While this house may not be quite as extreme as some others we’ve seen, it still boasts many luxurious amenities such as 24-hour security, an Olympic-sized pool with a diving board, tennis courts, a bowling alley, and two bars! It has been featured in many movies and television shows, including The Big Lebowski, Entourage, Beverly Hills 90210, Scream 2, and Malibu’s Most Wanted.

Baroda Drive – Gary Cooper Estate

It’s the stuff of Hollywood legends. In 1927, Gary Cooper – one of America’s most iconic actors and a native Californian – built his dream home on Baroda Drive in Beverly Hills. Today, this historic estate is available for sale to luxury home buyers and restorers who will have the privilege of owning a piece of American film history.

Since the 1950s, this luxury home has been cherished by film stars and celebrities alike. It is located in the heart of Beverly Hills on Baroda Drive, which offers five bedrooms and six bathrooms with an expansive living space that is perfect for entertaining or hosting large gatherings.

From the outside, you might not expect much from this home. It looks like any other two-story house on a quiet street in Beverly Hills. But once you step inside, it’s clear that something special is going on here. This estate has been lovingly restored with exquisite attention to detail and no expense spared.

With so many iconic homes in and around Beverly Hills, it can be tough to know which one is your favorite. But we have a few favorites that you might want to consider as your next home!
