The devastation here in California has been truly heartbreaking. Over 10,000 structures have been damaged or destroyed as a result of wildfires, and the impact has been felt across communities throughout Southern California. I want to personally thank everyone who has reached out—your calls, emails, DMs, and shares have been overwhelming and so appreciated.
Right now, our state is experiencing one of the driest seasons on record. Since October 1, downtown LA has received just 0.16 inches of rain, a staggering drop from the typical 4.56 inches during this period. Combined with high winds sweeping across LA’s vast 450 square miles and beyond, the challenges have only intensified.
While the loss is devastating, our community’s resilience continues to shine. Below, I’ve compiled resources, relief options, and ways you can help those affected during this difficult time.

Expanding Support: How We Can All Make a Difference
In times of disaster, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the scale of destruction, but small actions collectively create massive impact. Whether you’re able to contribute financially, donate essential items, or offer emotional support to those affected, every effort helps bring comfort and relief. The strength of Los Angeles lies in its ability to come together during difficult moments, and this crisis is no exception.
By reaching out to local shelters, participating in community drives, and sharing verified resources, you can play a pivotal role in helping our city heal. Remember, compassion isn’t measured in size—it’s measured in showing up. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, makes a profound difference in someone’s life.
Why Temporary Housing Matters in Times of Crisis
Access to safe housing is one of the most urgent needs for families affected by wildfires. Being forced to evacuate not only displaces individuals from their homes but disrupts their entire sense of stability. Having a secure place to stay allows families to focus on recovery without the added stress of wondering where they will sleep each night.
That’s why I’m committed to using my network to help families secure temporary lease properties and connecting homeowners with available ADUs and guest spaces to those in need. If you have space available or know someone who does, please reach out—your kindness can make an immediate impact on someone’s journey toward stability.
How Businesses Can Step Up to Support the Community
Local businesses play a crucial role in supporting wildfire relief efforts. Whether it’s through financial contributions, donating a portion of profits, or offering direct aid, the business community has the power to make a lasting difference. Restaurants can donate meals, wellness brands can contribute self-care essentials, and service providers can offer pro bono assistance to those impacted.
I encourage fellow business owners in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles to explore how they can use their platforms to give back. Whether it’s through partnerships with charities, hosting fundraising events, or simply spreading awareness, we can create a ripple effect of positive change when we work together.
Supporting First Responders – Our Community’s Heroes
Our firefighters and first responders have shown extraordinary courage and sacrifice while battling these devastating wildfires. Many of them are working around the clock, putting their lives on the line to protect our community.
A simple but powerful way to show gratitude is by supporting stations like Fire Station #19 in Brentwood, which is currently hosting out-of-town firefighters and urgently needs eyedrops, protein bars, coffee, energy drinks, electrolytes, blankets, towels, and goggles. Consider making a supply drop-off or rallying your friends and neighbors to contribute—it’s a direct way to thank these heroes for their selfless service.
How Wildfires Impact More Than Just Homes
While the damage to homes and properties is devastating, the effects of wildfires extend far beyond physical loss. The emotional toll on families—especially those forced to evacuate with little notice—can be profound. Many are left with feelings of fear, grief, and uncertainty, which can linger long after the flames have been extinguished.
As a community, it’s essential we not only provide physical resources but also emotional support. Checking in on friends, offering words of encouragement, and even helping with small tasks like babysitting or grocery runs can alleviate stress for families facing difficult transitions.
Long-Term Recovery and Rebuilding Together
Once the fires are contained, the process of recovery truly begins. Rebuilding a home—and a life—takes time, patience, and community support. While immediate relief efforts are critical, long-term assistance, from reconstruction guidance to financial aid and emotional healing, will be essential.
That’s why I’m committed to staying involved, not just in the immediate aftermath but throughout the entire recovery journey. I’ve partnered with trusted contractors and local experts who are offering pro bono consultations to help families explore their rebuilding options with confidence. Whether you need help understanding insurance claims, finding construction resources, or simply someone to walk alongside you during this journey, I’m here to assist.
A Message of Strength and Solidarity
