The scenic views and breathtaking beauty of beaches in Malibu luxury real estate add flavor to the enjoyment that one experiences while living in a luxury Malibu beach house. The attraction of the place never ends and always remains fresh with the presence of natural scenes around your Malibu luxury home. With many hiking trails, horse-riding trails, wineries, and beaches Malibu luxury real estate is the right location for families trying to find Malibu luxury homes and shut proximity to the simplest nature amenities Southern California has got to offer.

Malibu’s history dates back to as long as 2500 BCE as the village Humaliwo next to Malibu Lagoon was an important regional center in prehistoric times. It was the second-largest coastal settlement in the Santa Monica Mountains. The Big Rock Area was purchased in 1936 by William Randolph Hearest, who considered building an estate on the acquired property. Art Jones bought the property from Hearst and was one of the earlier prominent realtors in Malibu real estate and was the owner of Malibu Inn, Malibu Trading Post, and the Big Rock Beach Cafe (now Moonshadows restaurant).

National Register of Historic Places and California Historic Landmark, also known as The Rindge house or the Adamson House, is a part of Malibu Creek State Park and is located between Malibu Lagoon State Beach and Surfrider Beach.

A gated community named Malibu Colony has also been significant development of the Malibu luxury real estate. Malibu Colony has long been famously known as a popular private enclave for wealthy celebrities, and it houses Multimillion-dollar luxury homes on small lots. The Colony offers scenic views with attractive natural beauty from the Pacific Ocean and Coastline views that extend from Santa Monica Mountain to Rancho Palos Verdes, which is locally known as Queen’s Necklace.

The Art and Culture in Malibu

Malibu is home to cultural attractions, including Getty Villa, an art museum located in the adjacent Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles. It houses Getty’s collections of antiquities, sculptures, and cultural artifacts of ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria. The historic Adamson House includes gardens of the 19th century and is a state museum. Cultural events are also organized for the community to foster the arts in Malibu by The Malibu Art Association. The Malibu Garden Club also arranges an annual garden tour of private and residential gardens.

The Beaches in Malibu

The Beaches in Malibu form the main attraction in the area. Having a luxury home at one of the beaches is a luxury in itself. The coastline consists of the following beaches, adding beauty to Malibu, and making it one of the best places to buy Malibu beach homes for sale:

  • Surfrider Beach
  • Paradise Cove
  • Point Dume
  • Sandy Zuma Beach
  • Westward beach
  • Carbon Beach
  • Pirates Cove

While it may be a tourist direction for beachgoers, Malibu beaches are mostly less crowded than neighboring Santa Monica except for some traffic on the weekends. Many surfers rush to the Malibu Pier when the waves are good as it is a hot spot destination for surfers. Although many beaches in Malibu are public and easily accessible, like Surfrider and Zuma beach, some are limited and offer the visit on payment to limit the visitors on the beach.

The Malibu Nature and Parks

With natural breathtaking views and beaches, Malibu also offers the beautiful scenery of its well-maintained public parks, another addition to its natural beauty. Malibu parks include:

  • Malibu Bluffs park
  • Trancas Canyon Park
  • Las Flores Creek Park
  • Legacy Park
  • Malibu Creek State Park
  • Leo Carrillo State Beach and Park
  • Point Mugu State Park
  • Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area

Hotels and Night Life in Malibu

The Malibu Beach Inn, a 4-star rated hotel, offers you ocean views, in-room fireplaces, and a day spa. The quaint restaurant serves you modern American cuisine on its terrace. Similarly, the restaurants in Malibu offer delicious delicacies. Geoffrey’s is the best place to celebrate an intimate special day. The Iron Chef’s Nobu Matsuhisa presents you with Japanese delicacies at the famous Nobu Malibu (where celebrities like Rober DeNiro and Kardashians often visit). The best American cuisine is offered at Paradise Cove Beach Cafe.

The nightlife in Malibu is equally enjoyable and lively. If you need an evening out but don’t want to drive to the city, Moonshadows has a superb cocktail menu and a local favorite. Café Habana, owned by show business businessman Rande Gerber and husband to supermodel Cindy Crawford, is perhaps a bustling, bohemian space known for its approachable, community-driven environment and a local favorite for its Cuban/Mexican café and delectable drink menu.

The delicate and luxurious beauty offered by Malibu makes it the best place to buy Malibu luxury homes for sale on its beaches to live a comfortable and entertaining life.
