Bel Air Homes For Sale

BEL AIR

Bel Air, like most communities in California, is steeped in a rich 20th-century tradition. Located west of Los Angeles and bordered by UCLA to the south; it also includes part of one of its breathtaking ranges – The Santa Monica Mountains.

If you like to be in the air, then this is your dream home. The Van Nuys airport and Santa Monica airports are both close for quick flights; ten minutes from Rodeo Drive — Beverly Hills’ esteemed shopping destination! You’ll also find many other attractions east such as Hollywood stardom on famous Sunset Blvd., which leads straight down into Pacific Palisades Beach with gorgeous views all around it…or maybe south towards Malibu cliff top walks overlooking Faraci Cove?

BEL AIR HISTORY

The history behind this area dates back all the way from 1874 when Alphonzo E Bell Sr founded his farm which would eventually lead him into success after discovering oil on site! Known for honesty & integrity he interacted less scrupulously than what’s portrayed by Sinclair’s novel Oil!/Film 2007 There Will Be Blood about him but even so had an outsized impact not just locally but nationally too.

Bell and his wife, Minnewa purchased 1,760 acres in 1921 to build a house on top of what is now known as Bel Air Road. He was deeply moved by the beauty and landscape immediately surrounding them; developing an idea for an upscale community with generous lots like no other time before or since then – investing all funds made from oil investments (which at this point were substantial). Bell opened up sales offices across Stone Canyon which later became Hotel Bel-Air after remodeling one office building into its current mission style hotel form fittingly called “The House Of Love”.

In 1924, he began subdividing property and planning the community. In that same year Alphonzo Bell built two clubs for horse enthusiasts: Bel-Air Beach Club in Santa Monica (which still stands) as well as a country club on land adjacent to his office just outside Los Angeles city limits near Pico Boulevard between Laurel Canyon Drive and Coldwater Canyon Avenue today known simply by locals’ names such has “Bel Air.” When it came time to name streets after Mrs. Bell decided why not go with Italian ones since they had been so popular back when she herself learned them while living overseas.

BEL AIR NEIGHBORHOOD

The Bel Air has been called by some, “The El Paso Of America.” With its lush green lawns and fine homes for sale, you can be sure to find your dream home here!

It has long been known as one of the most prestigious, affluent areas. The homes here feature large lot sizes with incredible views that can be seen from many different angles throughout each house’s design.

The calm atmosphere in Bel Air California makes it the perfect destination for those who want to relax. It is vast and serene, a perfect escape from the hustle of city life. Breathtaking views make for an ideal getaway, while residents enjoy lush greenery in their rural setting.

It is one of the most-watched neighborhoods in Los Angeles. It’s known for its millionaires and decadent lifestyles, with some very lavish properties dotting each block!

LIFESTYLE AND PEOPLE

Bel-Air residents are known for their extravagant lifestyles. Celebrity sightings usually include A-listers such as Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, and Madonna. Prices in Bel Air range from $4 million to upwards of $20 million with mansions built on lots that average 20 acres. It’s not uncommon for a homeowner to own more than one home in an affluent neighborhood. Celebrities often buy homes, only to tear them down and build even larger ones. Besides the celebrities living here, there are also “regular” people who live in Bel Air too. It’s actually pretty cool because I hear some celebrities throw parties and invite all kinds of other people as well as us commoners!

The residents of this area are known for their money and fame. There’s a shopping mall, restaurants, and stores – there’s pretty much anything you could possibly need here. And because it is such an expensive place to live, the residents know how to spend their money! They’re all about fashion and looking good. They also really like luxury things and having everything they desire always available for them.

Most people in this area work in the entertainment industry – whether they’re actors or directors or singers or other professions related to movies or TV shows. There are some other high-paying jobs such as lawyers and doctors too though so not everyone works in entertainment… but I think most people do at least somewhat related to show business.

They have the finest things in the world! This means expensive food like organic vegetables and free-range chicken… It’s all about quality not quantity for them though so even though they enjoy eating at their favorite restaurant 3 times a week, they’ll just get a small meal instead of a full one.

Their whole lifestyle is about being as comfortable as possible so the furniture must be leather and finely crafted. The decorations have to have some meaning – you won’t see random knickknacks lying around because they aren’t interesting enough to go with their chic flair!

They value privacy very highly because celebrities are often hounded by paparazzi. Celebrities hang out with other celebrities who they’ve known for a long time. Celebrities also hang out with people their parents approve of – usually wealthy business people or lawyers or doctors. They have a romanticized view of the past and prefer to wear clothes that remind them of Audrey Hepburn.

Bel Air is not nearly as pretentious as Beverly Hills or Holmby Hills. There are celebrities in Bel Air but they’re just regular people living in an exclusive neighborhood – there’s no red carpet celebrity treatment. Some Bel Air residents want to live in a small, quiet community where they can enjoy the weather and have a nice house in a nice neighborhood without being too much in the public’s view.

However, there are some celebrities who don’t mind the “Hollywood” lifestyle and want to be seen everywhere they go so they buy property or rent homes in central Bel Air, near the heart of the community, where the paparazzi can easily find them.

SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES

Schools and Universities in the region of Bel-Air California are available for children from pre-school through to university level. The schools in this area are known to be some of the best private schools in California because they offer extraordinary education for students who are willing to pay for it. This adds up to one of the most expensive regions for education in the United States.

Bel Air is home to some of the best private schools in California. These are centralized into 2 main school districts, The Los Angeles Unified School District and the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District. There are also several small parochial elementary and high schools that attend Bel Air. Some of these include but are not limited to, Westland School, Sacred Heart High School, Marywood-Palm Valley School, and John Thomas Dye School.

The John Thomas Dye School, or JTD for short, is an independent private coeducational nonsectarian elementary day school located in the Bel-Air area of Los Angeles serving kindergarten through sixth grade.

Colleges in Bel Air include the University of California Los Angeles, University of San Diego(sister campus), Pepperdine University, Loyola Marymount University, Santa Monica College, University of Southern California, Argosy University, Art Center College of Design, The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Los Angeles Music Academy College of Music, Otis College of Art and Design, West Los Angeles College, Los Angeles Film School.

University Of California Los Angeles (UCLA) is one the most prestigious public universities in the United States, ranked as the 14th best university by US News and World Report.

ENTERTAINMENT

In Bel Air, you can find some pretty popular landmarks here including the Getty Center and Los Angeles Country Club where you can enjoy some time outside in the fresh air. There are also parks that are scattered around the area where you can participate in various activities like horseback riding, golfing, hiking, and fishing.

Stone Canyon Reservoir Park is a great place to hang out with your friends and family or just by yourself. You can walk or run around the park, ride a bike through the trails, take a jog at the track, hike up to Inspiration Point and see some amazing views of Bel-Air and beyond, go horseback riding in the park’s equestrian center, or simply hang out by The Pond and watch people fish.

If you’re interested in watching movies while at home, there are plenty of movie theaters nearby including The Fox Theater and ArcLight Cinemas that will provide you with some comfy seats where you can enjoy some popcorn along with your movie.

If you’re up for some nighttime entertainment, there are plenty of bars and clubs scattered around the area including The Saddle Ranch Chop House Bar & Grill, The Room Hollywood, and Delilah where you can listen to some lounge music while enjoying a drink. There are also many nightlife spots nearby if you want to have some drinks and dance the night away.

One of these is the Vibrato Grill Jazz, owned by music icon Herb Alpert, this refined New American venue presents big-name live jazz acts that are sure to entertain all listeners.

To round out your entertainment options, there are also a few museums nearby including The Annenberg Space for Photography which is surrounded by beautiful landscaping where you can learn about photography from some of the most famous photographers in history. The Getty Museum offers free admission every day of the year! It has an amazing art collection and exhibits rotating throughout the year. See Getty’s collection of European and American art from the Middle Ages to the present against a backdrop of dramatic architecture, tranquil gardens, and breathtaking views from downtown L.A. to the sea.

Bel Air is also close to Rodeo Drive, so if someone really wants to go shopping where the rich and famous shop, they can drive about ten minutes down Sunset Boulevard and be there. There are plenty of shopping options in Bel Air, including the outdoor mall The Village. There’s also an indoor mall called Westfield to shop at stores like Apple and Abercrombie & Fitch.

And also, you’re in for a treat when you are in Switch Boutique. It offers the most fashionable and trendiest women’s clothing. The store has such an elegant atmosphere with minimalistic decor that you’ll be sure to find something perfect without having too much trouble finding what your heart desires.

For those interested in historic sites, Bel Air has plenty. One can walk through West Adams district to see houses built in the 1880s. And for those history buffs who are really interested, there’s Loyola Marymount University where one can learn about all of California’s colorful past at LMUs historical exhibits and research center.

If someone really wants to get away from the city and all the hustle and bustle, they can drive about 40 minutes up into the mountains where there are a few different ski resorts including Mountain High Ski Resort. It is definitely something for those who want some fresh air, nature, and exercise.

RESTAURANTS IN BEL AIR

Restaurants are everywhere in Bel Air California. From the most casual of diners to some five-star meals, there is definitely something for everyone. One can find anything from Indian food to Italian and Chinese to American; every type of cuisine you could ever imagine is available for those looking to eat out. If someone wanted a great pizza, Manny’s Pizzeria & Cafe would be a great place to visit. If someone wanted to go out with friends and have a steak dinner, they would be able to find a number of places that could fit their needs. For those who want something better than burgers or the typical salads, The Eatery Encino has amazing and incredible sandwiches. Even fine dining can be found in Bel Air if someone wanted to go to the Malama Pono Restaurant for a nice dinner.

The Malama Pono Restaurant is prominently known in Bel Air as one of the best places in town. Because of this, there are often times when it will be difficult to get in unless you call ahead and make reservations. However, despite the fact that they are usually packed, the service is still great, and the food even better.

The Eatery Encino is another great place in Bel Air to get some food. For people who want something different than fine dining or typical meals, they can come here for some awesome sandwiches. They also serve salads, but it might be best if you just stick with the sandwiches.

The Wolfgang Puck in Hotel Bel-Air is definitely one of the best places to get a steak in Bel Air. This place is upscale, but not so much so that it will be intimidating for people who are used to going to regular restaurants. The service is great here and they have a pretty extensive wine list if you’re into that kind of thing.

One of the places that you can go to if you want to go out on a date night is Bistango. This place has good Italian food and provides good service, plus it’s great for dancing later in the evening. It might get pretty crowded during the weekend but it should be manageable and won’t detract from your experience too much.

This restaurant is great if you want to go out and have a good time with some friends without spending too much money. The food here is really good, but don’t expect to get anything particularly unique or high-end. They should be able to accommodate large groups without any problems and the service is usually pretty fast even when they’re busy.

BEL AIR REAL ESTATE INSIGHTS

Bel Air California has become one of the leading markets in the real estate industry. Over the past decade, Bel Air California homes have been rated as some of the top-performing properties across the nation. Bel Air real estate is a beautiful piece of property, located close to LA and Santa Monica, among other coastal cities. This proximity makes it easy for commuters to commute from their homes in Bel Air to work. In addition, many companies have been looking for office spaces and workplaces close to the coast due to the scenic views of the beach and coastal cities.

This year alone, 25 Millionaires were created on January 1st – breaking all previous records. This is a huge step up from last year’s numbers. What this means for Bel Air real estate is that the value has skyrocketed this year, with house prices in the area reaching an all-time high. The demand for houses in Bel Air California is through the roof, so if you are planning on selling your house next year it would be wise to get your home ready now.

The top list of most expensive houses in Bel Air California (and the World) is released each year, with some homes selling for more than $100 Million. A popular trend among these high-rollers is to install everything that they could ever dream of; swimming pools, hot tubs, indoor cinemas, bowling alleys and even tennis courts. One home even had a moat and a drawbridge installed so they could feel like kings of their own castle.

For home sellers, it is important to make a good impression on potential buyers. Here are some ways you can get your house looking like a million dollars:

Makeover number one is rejuvenating the backyard, which will bring new life into the home and give it a more modern look that attracts attention from prospective buyers. One of the most popular ways to do this is by installing a swimming pool, hot tub or Jacuzzi. These backyard additions are very popular amongst buyers because they provide space for young families to play, relax and even entertain guests.

For buyers, the price of homes is down almost 50%, providing them with an opportunity to purchase a dream home for half the price that it would have been before. They can then afford to install all of these luxuries mentioned above.

Fancy living like a king? Well, now you can at a price so low it will make your head spin. It might not be a castle, but with the way the market is going, there’s no telling what sort of deal you could end up getting. Check out some of these luxury homes for sale!
